<p>The Process Technician performs process sustaining tasks for the manufacturing line on a variety of mechanical and chemical processes including: response to out-of-control process, work on yield improvement projects, disposition of special case non-conforming materials that come from the manufacturing line, and qualifying new equipment and processes that are being introduced into the manufacturing line. Perform supporting activities for engineering and manufacturing including 5S and Lean manufacturing activities, yield improvement, scrap reduction, production line configuration, and safety procedures.</p> <ul> <li>Support Engineering and Manufacturing by improving and drafting manufacturing instructions, including rework procedures, and ensuring up-to-date qualification schedules </li><li>Train associates on new or revised manufacturing instructions </li><li>Provide daily coverage of production line processes for smooth operations, responding promptly to out-of-control processes to minimize costs and maximize productivity </li><li>Investigate and implement countermeasures to enhance process Cpk and product yield </li><li>Conduct experiments and analyze data under the guidance of process engineers, including but not limited to Design of Experiments (DOE) and Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R) </li><li>Lead disposition of non-conformance materials produced by the production line, escalating issues to the production engineering team as necessary </li><li>Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives, managing parts and tools inventory, executing repairs and troubleshooting precisely according to instructed processes, and managing workload proactively with a positive attitude to assist co-workers </li><li>Degree in Electronics, a Technical Certificate, Industrial/Manufacturing experience, or equivalent experience </li><li>Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Visio, Access, etc. </li><li>Skilled in troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems </li><li>Proven ability to analyze test data, malfunctions, and deviations, contributing to process corrections </li><li>Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a focus on safety, team collaboration, and attention to detail </li><li>Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal </li></ul> <p>Essential Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day </li><li>Ability to perform repetitious duties, including stairs and standing for long periods of time over varied and uneven terrain </li><li>Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 30 lbs. and climb a 10" step and back down </li><li>Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift, reach, stoop, lay, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time </li><li>Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, or hearing </li><li>Potential exposure to confined spaces and hazardous materials </li><li>Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines </li></ul>
