<p>The City of Ankeny has a need for individuals who are interested in helping maintain the sports complex fields and grounds on the weekends.</p> <p>Days/Hours:  Saturdays & Sundays; 6:00 am - 2:30 pm or 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm. </p> <p> </p> <p>$13.50/hour - Athletic Field Crew - Weekends</p> <p>Starts in August and ends late October 2025</p> <p>Please complete an online application as soon as possible until positions are filled.</p> <p>Submit application on at www.ankenyiowa.gov or QR Code:  </p> <p>Questions may be directed to Elliott Josephson, Sports Facilities Superintendent, at (515) 963-3577 or ejosephson@ankenyiowa.gov.</p> <ul> <li>Maintains all field preparations including marking, dragging, raking, chalking, painting, and moving of goals. </li><li>Makes regular rounds to inspect conditions, pick up trash, and remove debris from the sports complex grounds. </li><li>Attends training and safety courses as needed. </li><li>Assists in division building maintenance to keep buildings and grounds clean and neat appearing. </li><li>Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions </li><li>Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods under adverse weather conditions </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public </li><li>Must be 16 years of age </li><li>Maintain a valid Iowa driver's license </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</p> <ul> <li>Works in field environment. </li><li>Requires weekends, holidays and evening hours. </li><li>Performs outside work in all kinds of weather conditions. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Must be insurable. </li><li>Must be sighted. </li><li>Must be able to hear normal conversation. </li><li>Must be able to speak clearly at normal rate of conversation. </li><li>Must be able to kneel, squat, stoop, walk and climb stairs. </li><li>Must be able to lift heavy objects weighing up to 75 pounds and carries for short distances. </li><li>Must keep regular and reliable attendance at work. </li></ul>
