<p>Kforce has a client in Greenwood Village, CO that is immediately seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Esri ArcGIS to lead the deployment, scaling, and operational support of our on-prem geospatial platform. The Platform Engineer will act as the subject matter expert (SME) for ArcGIS, and serve as the point of contact for all ArcGIS-related integration, performance, and support needs. Ideal candidates will have experience working in complex Linux environments and bring exposure to complementary technologies like Apache NiFi and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, though heavy ArcGIS expertise is the top priority.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Act as the primary SME and support lead for the ArcGIS platform </li><li>Deploy, scale, and manage ArcGIS clusters in a Linux-based on-premise environment </li><li>Own and improve disaster recovery planning and implementation for ArcGIS </li><li>Troubleshoot and debug ArcGIS performance and integration issues, including operating system and file system interactions </li><li>Support and help design integrations between ArcGIS and other enterprise systems </li><li>Guide the adoption of NiFi as a service, treating it as an enterprise-grade offering (preferred, not required) </li><li>Facilitate and support OpenSearch/Elasticsearch usage in conjunction with GIS services </li><li>Implement automation for platform deployment and scaling, reducing manual overhead </li><li>Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure platform reliability, scalability, and efficiency </li><li>Provide guidance on platform architecture, security, and resilience best practices* 5+ years of experience in a Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering role </li><li>Expert-level experience with Esri ArcGIS, including deployment, support, and troubleshooting in production environments </li><li>Strong understanding of Linux systems administration and troubleshooting </li><li>Experience deploying or supporting Apache NiFi at enterprise scale or technologies similar to NiFi </li><li>Familiarity with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, particularly in support of geospatial integrations </li><li>Experience designing and supporting high-availability platforms and scaling clustered environments </li><li>Demonstrated ability to act as the POC and SME for a critical platform </li><li>Solid scripting or automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible) </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Previous work integrating ArcGIS with other enterprise tools or data systems </li><li>Experience with infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code </li></ul>
