We also seek to attract culturally and academically diverse faculty who value working with diverse students.</p> <p>Salary</p> <p>The salary is commensurate with education and experience.</p> <p>Job Summary/Basic Function</p> <p>The Department of Health and Human Performance at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position (#120030) at the rank of lecturer for its Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Program. This is a one-year temporary appointment. The lecturer's contract may be renewed annually based on available funding, demonstrated need, and satisfactory performance as assessed by annual evaluations. The start date for the appointment is August 1, 2025.</p> <p>The successful candidate will teach five (5) undergraduate courses in the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Program. Courses may include Introduction to Communication Disorders, Diagnostics, Child Language Development in Education, Anatomy, Child Language Disorders, Adult Language and Neurogenic Communication Disorders, and other courses related to the field and clinical supervision.</p> <p>Required Education</p> <p>A master's degree in speech-language pathology is required by the appointment date.</p> <p>Required License/Registration/Certification</p> <p>A Certificate of Clinical Competence/SLP and Tennessee State Licensure, or submitted applications, are required by the appointment date.</p> <p>Other Desirables</p> <p>Applicants with three (3) years of clinical experience prior to the appointment date will receive special consideration.</p> <p>Documents Needed to Apply</p> <p>To successfully apply, applicants must include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, and a statement of teaching philosophy.
