<p>The Trade Compliance Manager will ensure that the organization's global trade operations comply with all applicable customs and export regulations, with a strong focus on managing and optimizing the company's duty drawback program. This role supports day-to-day import/export compliance, oversees drawback claims, maintains required documentation, and partners with internal teams to mitigate risk and improve cross-border trade efficiency.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Duty Drawback Program Management</p> <ul> <li>Lead the administration of the company's duty drawback program, including data collection, claim preparation, submission, and tracking. </li><li>Ensure all drawback claims meet U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements and timelines. </li><li>Maintain detailed records to support drawback filings and audit readiness. </li><li>Analyze import/export data to maximize recovery opportunities and improve financial outcomes. </li><li>Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external brokers to ensure accurate and compliant drawback processes. </li></ul> <p>Regulatory Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Interpret and apply international trade laws, customs regulations, and export controls (e.g., EAR, ITAR, OFAC). </li><li>Ensure accurate product classification, including HTS, Schedule B, and ECCN codes. </li><li>Review, audit and validate import/export documentation for compliance with regulatory requirements. </li></ul> <p>Operational Support</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with logistics, supply chain, procurement, and sales teams to ensure compliant movement of goods. </li><li>Support preparation of export licenses, customs declarations, certificates of origin, and other trade-related documents. </li><li>Maintain compliance-related records in accordance with regulatory retention standards. </li><li>Provide guidance and training to internal teams on trade compliance processes, including duty drawback requirements. </li><li>Serve as the subject-matter expert for trade compliance questions across the organization. </li><li>Partner with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment with trade policy and strategy. </li></ul> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>5 years of experience in trade compliance, customs, logistics, or duty drawback administration. </li><li>Knowledge of U.S. customs regulations, export controls, and drawback requirements. </li><li>Strong analytical and data management skills. </li><li>Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities. </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Professional certifications (e.g., CCS, CES, CUSECO). </li><li>Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and drawback specialists. </li><li>Familiarity with free trade agreements and country-of-origin determination processes. </li><li>Experience with global trade management systems </li></ul> <p>(e.g., SAP, ACE, E2Open, Snap-R)</p>
