<p>Responsible for a variety of manual duties related to water utility. This position will perform water meter lid inspections and assist with water meter reading responsibilities. This position will perform other tasks pertaining to water meter maintenance as needed. Other duties may include: yard/building maintenance such as mowing, trimming, sprinkler repair, pulling weeds, raking leaves, painting, sweeping, cleaning, driving equipment and vehicles and other duties as assigned. Uses a variety of tools and equipment depending on the specific assignment.Must possess a valid driver license and have a good driving record. Must be able to perform heavy manual labor outside during spring, summer and fall months. Due to equipment and city vehicle operation, applicants must be at least 18 years of age. The successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background investigation.Individual starting salary will depend on qualifications, certifications, and experience. The City also provides a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.These are seasonal positions working up to 40 hours per week, with employment lasting up to 6 months from date of hire.
