<p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Continuous Improvement Engineer to help maintain and advance our Manufacturing Plants. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing workflow processes in a manufacturing environment, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities Include:</p> <ul> <li>Workflow Development: Design and implement workflow processes from layout, time studies, BOM and routing setups, material flow, work instruction development, line balancing, and waste elimination. </li><li>Innovative Solutions: Provide innovative process solutions for a wide variety of project types. </li><li>Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to update engineering labor standards. </li><li>5S Principles: Implement and educate the workforce on 5S principles. </li><li>Process Integration: Integrate new process solutions while improving existing manufacturing processes. </li><li>Data-Driven Improvements: Utilize a data-driven approach to improve Key Performance Indicators on project objectives while coordinating cross-departmentally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, etc. </li><li>Production Support: Support all production activities at the manufacturing location. </li><li>Lean Six Sigma: Apply and promote Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement techniques to enhance people, products, and processes in various manufacturing and business-related processes. </li><li>Technical Expertise: Demonstrate technical ability through the application of engineering skills, approaches, and knowledge. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Experience:</p> <p>Manufacturing Implementation: Proven experience in working with manufacturing to implement sound designs that meet cost and ease of assembly targets.</p> <p>Lean Manufacturing Systems: Experience with implementing and sustaining Lean Manufacturing Systems.</p> <p>Design Principles: Knowledge of design principles, particularly related to large multicomponent assemblies (3+ years).</p> <p>Problem Solving: Experience in evaluating and solving process-related issues within manufacturing and/or production assembly.</p> <p>Robotic Knowledge: Knowledge of robotic welding and robotic fabrication.</p> <p>Self-Motivation: Disciplined, self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of sustained and continuous effort.</p> <p>Hands-On Approach: Hands-on approach and mechanical aptitude.</p> <p>Attention to Detail: Pride and commitment to accuracy, detail, and well-thought-out designs.</p> <p>Documentation and Organization: Thorough and consistent documentation habits paired with excellent organizational and management skills.</p> <p>Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced product design team.</p> <p>Must Have</p> <ul> <li>Degree: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent technology degree. </li><li>Experience: 3 years of applicable experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). </li><li>Manufacturing Environment: 3 years' experience working in a manufacturing/production environment is preferred. </li><li>Six Sigma: Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $53.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
