<p>Under the direction of the VP of Payment Solutions, the AVP of Card Operations oversees the strategy, operations, and performance of the Credit Union's card program. This role ensures regulatory compliance, drives innovation in digital experiences, and promotes portfolio growth and profitability. The AVP leads the team, enhances member experience, fosters cross-department collaboration, and delivers exceptional service aligned with the Credit Union's strategic vision.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Develops and executes strategic initiatives to optimize the Credit Union's card programs, ensuring they remain competitive and aligned with member needs. </li><li>Analyzes industry trends, emerging technologies, and member behaviors to enhance card services offerings, leveraging research to recommend and oversee the implementation of new products/services. </li><li>Collaborate with senior leadership to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor program effectiveness, providing regular portfolio reporting to management. </li><li>Oversee the daily operations of the Card Operations department, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and exceptional service including the integration of card services with the core system and digital banking platforms. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and internal policies/procedures. </li><li>Manages vendor relationships with card processors, networks, and third-party service providers. </li><li>Develops and maintains department policies, procedures, and internal controls to mitigate risk and enhance operational effectiveness including standard operating procedures for all aspects of daily operations. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of 7+ years in card services or payments </li><li>5+ years of management experience preferably in the credit union industry. </li><li>Strong leadership and team development skills. </li><li>In-depth knowledge of card processing systems, payment networks, and regulatory compliance. </li><li>Innovative thinker with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. </li><li>Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and effectively communicate with members, vendors and team members at all levels of the organization. </li><li>Proficiency in card management systems, digital banking platforms, and fraud prevention tools. </li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, diagnose potential challenges and develop solutions. </li><li>Strong technical skills with the ability to adapt to new and emerging technology. </li></ul> <p>BENEFITS:</p> <p>RFCU offers a comprehensive benefits package, including Cigna medical benefits, dental benefits, vision benefits ,a 401(k) plan with company match and profit-sharing potential, flexible health and dependent care plans, and life, AD&D, and LTD insurance.
