<p>The position of Deli Attendant is of great significance to Valley Wide Cooperative. A person in this position is accountable for safe food handling, along with a strong customer service emphasis. This is a safety-sensitive position.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently.</p> <ul> <li>Acknowledge all customers, employees and vendors. </li><li>Assist customers with food orders. </li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area. </li><li>Answer multiple phone lines. </li><li>Restock items as time allows. </li><li>Assist other employees. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED preferred. </li><li>Previous customer service experience preferred. </li><li>Must be willing to become certified in safe food handling upon hire. </li><li>Acknowledge all customers, employees and vendors in a friendly and appropriate manner. </li><li>Ability to multitask and determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance. </li><li>Ability to communicate using proper telephone etiquette with customers, other employees and vendors. </li><li>Must have a strong team player focus in all interactions. </li><li>Ability to properly handle money, give change and record multiple transactions efficiently and accurately. </li><li>Must exhibit a professional and positive image. </li></ul> <p>SALARY INFORMATION RANGE: $16.66 - $16.66 per hour</p> <p>BENEFIT OFFERINGS: https://www.valleywidecoop.com/vwccareers/</p>
