<p>Part-time faculty are professional educators with the primary responsibility of providing a quality learning experience for all Robeson Community College students. Faculty are responsible for, but are not limited to, planning, organizing, promoting, and teaching appropriate courses for Robeson Community College. Faculty are expected to perform all instruction -related duties in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the College, the North Carolina Community College System, and with appropriate accrediting entities where applicable.</p> <ul> <li>Provide a quality learning experience for RCC students in the designated discipline. </li><li>Plan, organize, promote, and teach courses for the college in a variety of modalities, including online, </li></ul> <p>hybrid, or in-person instruction.</p> <ul> <li>Communicate effectively with students, employees, and the general public. </li><li>Learn and use technology to enhance teaching and student learning. </li></ul> <p>Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies to communicate subject matter and modify where appropriate to achieve student learning.</p> <ul> <li>Participate in setting and assessing program and student learning outcomes. </li><li>Develop syllabi and select appropriate course materials as per departmental expectations. </li><li>Implement and assess identified program and institutional student learning outcomes. </li><li>Evaluate student performance consistently and fairly. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance and submit required record management </li></ul> <p>documentation for courses in accordance with college deadlines.</p> <ul> <li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director, Dean, Vice President, or President of Robeson </li></ul> <p>Community College.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in Math or in a related field with 18 graduate hours in math.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications - Teaching experience at the postsecondary level and familiarity with online instruction.</p>
