<p>As a Master Cook Asian Cuisine, you will be responsible for food preparation and presentation fare in an Asian-inspired Quick Serve restaurant.</p> <p>Position: Full-Time</p> <p>Location: Gold Strike Casino - Tunica, MS</p> <p>PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Follow methods of food preparation, cooking, portion size, mixing of sauces, and garnishing of foods to ensure food is prepared in an approved manner as prescribed by the Restaurant Chef. </li><li>Assist with menu development, recipe creation and production guide. </li><li>Responsible for inventory management and kitchen sanitation. </li><li>Assist in ordering and managing kitchen supplies. </li><li>Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure timely food delivery. </li><li>Comply with occupational, health, and safety standards, and ensure food is stored and kept at proper holding temperatures using thermometers. </li><li>Perform other job-related duties as requested. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISION:</p> <p>None</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>One (1) years of experience in high-volume food venue. </li><li>Two (2) years of related experience in Asian Cuisine food preparation. </li><li>Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED:</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of Asian cooking techniques and ingredients. </li><li>One (1) year culinary training. </li><li>Experience working in a similar resort setting. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledgeable of restaurant operations, such as opening/closing procedures, food cost awareness, and ordering food products. </li><li>Knowledge of food and beverage products, including preparation methods/times, major ingredients, quality standards, taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, garnish, and method presentation. </li><li>Knowledgeable of how to safely use all kitchen equipment. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail. </li><li>Able to lead and mentor a team. </li><li>Ability to engage with guests to build loyalty and trust. </li><li>Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts. </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <ul> <li>This role includes frequent standing and bending. </li><li>Constant walking, reaching, balancing, and grasping items in a food preparation area. </li><li>It also includes lifting carrying and pushing up to 50 lbs. </li><li>This is not intended to include every duty or responsibility of the job nor is it intended to be an all-inclusive list of the skills and abilities required to do this job. </li></ul> <p>This position may require strenuous physical activities and exposure to pipe, cigar, and/or cigarette smoking. An ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays may also be required.</p>
