<p>Job Overview</p> <p>As the Assistant Hospital Manager at VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center, you'll play a key role in ensuring the seamless daily operation of the hospital. Working alongside the Hospital Administrator and Medical Directors, you'll drive operational excellence, optimize service delivery, and enhance both patient and client experiences. You'll also help the hospital uphold its commitment to providing high-quality medicine. In this role, you'll contribute to financial performance while ensuring the highest standards of care. Additionally, you'll oversee a medical service within the hospital, supporting their growth initiatives, and fostering collaboration between client-facing and medical teams. This dynamic role offers the opportunity for professional development as the hospital's needs evolve.</p> <p>Compensation Range: $85,000-$90,000</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Oversee daily hospital operations to ensure efficient workflows and high-quality service. </li><li>Collaborate with the Hospital Administrator and Medical Directors to maintain superior standards of patient care, client service, and overall operational performance. </li><li>Lead and inspire a high-performing team, cultivating a positive and productive work environment. </li><li>Ensure seamless and positive client interactions, enhancing their experience with the hospital. </li><li>Assist in developing and implementing policies and programs to improve hospital efficiency. </li><li>Address client concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction. </li><li>Collaborate with leadership to execute marketing, sales, and community outreach strategies. </li><li>Analyze financial data and manage the hospital budget to meet profitability goals. </li><li>Supervise human resources functions, including recruitment, training, and performance management. </li><li>Foster a collaborative and respectful hospital culture that promotes teamwork and positive relationships with clients and staff. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills and Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in veterinary client service management. </li><li>Strong experience in human resources management, including recruitment, staff training, and development. </li><li>Proven leadership and coaching abilities, with a focus on building and maintaining high-performing teams. </li><li>Expertise in client satisfaction and service delivery improvement. </li><li>A growth-oriented mindset, dedicated to continuous improvement. </li><li>Knowledge of sales and marketing strategies to boost hospital success and client engagement. </li><li>Strong business acumen, including the ability to analyze financial data, create forecasts, and manage budgets. </li><li>Experience managing operations in a healthcare or veterinary environment is preferred. </li><li>Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. </li><li>Ability to make strategic decisions, delegate tasks effectively, and drive results. </li><li>Professional demeanor, interpersonal skills, and a positive, approachable attitude. </li><li>Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Deep commitment to the well-being of both clients and their pets. </li><li>Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and assume additional responsibilities as needed. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 3+ years in operations management within a medical or service-based environment, with experience in P&L responsibility. </li><li>Experience in budget management, financial forecasting, and planning is preferred. </li><li>Background in sales, marketing, and business development is a plus. </li><li>Proven expertise in HR management, including staff training and performance evaluations. </li><li>Strong emotional intelligence and ability to navigate complex interpersonal situations. </li><li>Extensive experience in client relations and team leadership. </li><li>In-depth understanding of veterinary care and hospital operations </li></ul> <p>If you are a current associate, you will need to apply through our internal career site.
