Obtains quality diagnostic scans and assists physicians as needed. Selects practical applications and technical factors to ensure effective departmental processes. Adapts procedures to each patient's medical situation, obtaining all necessary information for proper interpretation. Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy and physiology. Performs echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, contrast and agitated saline studies, and assists with TEE procedures. Conducts carotid exams, abdominal exams, upper and lower extremity arterial/venous studies, and imaging of pre-operative/post-operative bypass grafts, stents, and endarterectomies. Calculates and documents information accurately.
