Our team remains laser-focused on one goal - making the world a safer place.</p> <p>Job Summary: The Marine Field Manager oversees and manages the field operations for the marine installation department. This position is responsible for supervising and directing operations within the piping discipline, coordinating projects, performing quality control and safety checks to adhere to compliance regulations and ensure the field operations team collaborates with other departments to achieve operations success.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Schedule manpower, material, and equipment for construction projects in a shipyard environment. </li><li>Review project hours and provide status updates of project information </li><li>Request Material quotes for requisitions, order material, generate hand take off as necessary. </li><li>Manage project costs to maintain profitability. </li><li>Schedule and attend AHJ Inspections. This includes pressure testing and final inspections. </li><li>Plan and schedule training sessions for installation technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge. </li><li>Communicate daily with the installation technicians to ensure project(s) progress and address any issues promptly. </li><li>Communicate project status with Marine Install Manager. </li><li>Support monthly project reviews with department leadership and accounting to assess project performance and recommendations for improvement as needed. </li><li>Attend weekly construction kick-off meetings. </li><li>Ensure installation technicians comply with all safety procedures. </li><li>Conduct safety audits to identify potential hazards and make recommendations for corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment. </li><li>Ensure all installations meet all code and regulatory requirements. Make recommendations for improvement as needed. </li><li>Collaborate with leadership to conduct job walks with the sales team to assess project requirements and provide accurate cost estimates for quotes. </li><li>Collaborate with the Design department by conducting flow tests and surveys to support project planning and execution. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>What We Are Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma is required </li><li>Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a wide range of different types of piping installation. </li><li>Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role is highly desired. </li><li>In-depth knowledge of pipefitting and pipe welding processes and procedures. </li><li>Experience developing pneumatic and hydrotest packages in addition to verifying and witnessing acceptance of tests. </li><li>Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets and electronic presentation programs. </li><li>Thorough understanding of safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment. </li><li>Must have problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and propose necessary solutions. </li><li>Ability to review designs for constructability and identify potential challenges. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Sitting and /or standing for long periods of time. </li><li>Ability to drive a vehicle to jobsites. </li><li>Must be willing to work a flexible schedule if required. </li><li>Extensive walking in and around a shipyard construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces. </li><li>Ability to travel anywhere necessary. </li></ul> <p>We are proud to operate according to our Core Values: Passion to Perform, Trust to Act, Act Responsibly, and Make it Fun.</p> <p>Most employee benefits start from the first day of employment, including:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive compensation package, including pay advancement opportunities for industry certifications and continuing education. </li><li>Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental & vision insurance, retirement plans, company paid & voluntary life insurance, company paid short term disability, voluntary long term disability, critical illness & accident insurance and paid time off. </li><li>Company-provided training, tools, and equipment, including $150 annual boot allowance for employees required to wear safety boots in their jobs. </li><li>Career advancement potential within a growing company. </li></ul> <p>Join us in our mission to provide comprehensive fire protection solutions and peace of mind to our customers, and together, let's make the world a safer place.</p>
