<p>This role as an AR Analyst on the Financial Operations Team at Tesla focuses on supporting residential operations with a primary emphasis on the accuracy and validity of accounts receivable. Key areas of responsibility include account reconciliations, account analysis, and metrics evaluation. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality financial processes and to drive continuous improvement as Tesla scales its operations. Leveraging technology and enhancing processes will be critical to success in this fast-paced environment.</p> <ul> <li>Review outstanding accounts receivable to determine validity and accuracy </li><li>Prepare appropriate journal entries for items requiring adjustment </li><li>Collaborate with business partners to identify root causes of sub-ledger posting issues </li><li>Compare and explain differences between data sources related to accounts receivable </li><li>Drive continuous improvement in the quality and accuracy of accounts receivable open balances for an exceptional customer experience </li><li>Work regularly with cash application analysts to establish best practices for handling overpayments and prepayments </li><li>Design reporting tools and dashboards to improve visibility into the health of accounts receivable balances while evaluating financial and operational metrics for management insights </li><li>Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience </li><li>4+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced accounting operations environment, with public company experience as a plus </li><li>Strong Microsoft Excel skills required, with SQL experience as a plus </li><li>Passion for process improvement and automation </li><li>Experience with large ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred </li><li>Ability to articulate issues and propose solutions for process and system improvements </li><li>Effective communication and collaboration skills </li></ul>
