We call this the Aquila Advantage.</p> <p>About the Role:</p> <p>Aquila is seeking a Graphic Artist to join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The Graphic Artist will be responsible for creating effective visual products that clearly communicate the ongoing accomplishments of the group. Working with highly technical material and teams, the artist will translate various inputs into designs for both technical audiences and org staff. The artist will manage a range of time-sensitive projects while keeping them organized and accessible to themselves and the team.</p> <p>There are a few requirements for the position:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a U.S Citizen- Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify) </li><li>Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.) </li><li>Must be within 100 miles of worksite (Lexington, MA) </li></ul> <p>Additional duties include but are not limited to:</p> <p>Creative Design and Business Graphics</p> <ul> <li>Design, layout and produce PowerPoint presentations, interactive digital posters, technical illustrations, logos, and promotional items </li><li>Create new designs from descriptions , back-of-the-envelope drawings and notes, or existing materials </li><li>Integrate dissimilar inputs with varying styles into a unified presentation; ensure design consistency </li><li>Clean up/reformat/organize content in existing presentations and reports to meet the org level of professionalism </li><li>Apply knowledge of color theory, perspective, composition, and information design to every deliverable </li></ul> <p>Organization, Asset Management, Quality Control</p> <ul> <li>Maintain electronic libraries of briefings, clip art, and other marketing resources </li><li>Maintain links to resources on Group or Division webpages, wikis, and file repositories </li><li>Develop content management guidelines and protocols </li><li>Ensure work adheres to organization style guides, branding standards, as well as marking and release requirements </li><li>Proof-read deliverables for spelling, grammar and punctuation </li><li>Advise staff on best practices for producing effective graphics and publications </li></ul> <p>Collaboration and Project Management</p> <ul> <li>Work with management and staff to determine project needs, timelines, expectations and priorities </li><li>Proactively reach out to technical staff to discuss content, propose solutions, request inputs, review timelines </li><li>Set up SharePoint folders in support of specific meetings; distribute link to speakers, track uploads and graphics work needed </li><li>Collaborate with/support other artists in the Division </li><li>Work independently; prioritize, track, and bring tasks to closure </li></ul> <p>Constant Innovation</p> <ul> <li>Constantly explore new avenues of creative expression </li><li>Improve methods, processes, and resources where needed </li></ul> <p>Must Have</p> <ul> <li>Degree Level: Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Clearance Level: Must have a Top Secret Clearance </li><li>5 years - Design </li><li>5 years - Edit Illustrations and Artwork </li><li>5 years - Graphic Design </li><li>5 years - Presentation Design, Poster Design, Document Design, Technical Illustrations, and Photo Manipulation </li><li>5 years - Visual Design (Technical Content) </li><li>5 years - Program/Project Management OR Analysis </li><li>5 years - Understands and Executes Project Requirements </li><li>5 years - Work with Cross-Functional Teams </li><li>Soft Skills </li><li>Detail-oriented </li><li>Self-motivated and Ability to Work with Little Direction </li><li>5 years - Software </li><li>5 years - Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) </li><li>5 years - MS Suite (Excel, ppt) </li></ul> <p>Benefits and Perks:</p> <p>Aquila team members experience the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, customer-focused, and technically innovative work environment.
