The position is expected to begin approximately August 2025 or as mutually acceptable. Renewal of appointment is dependent on performance, program needs and/or availability of funds. To learn more about SONDH, go to:http://www.nursing.hawaii.edu/.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Teach assigned courses in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. Specific priority of need is psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. </li><li>Participate in curriculum development activities as appropriate or assigned. </li><li>Participate in supervising and facilitating practicum and simulation student activities. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Nursing or related field from a college or university of recognized standing; </li><li>Current (or be eligible for) unrestricted RN license to practice in Hawai'i; </li><li>National certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner; </li><li>Current (or be eligible for) unrestricted APRN license to practice in Hawai'i </li><li>One year of full-time work experience in the area of advanced practice nursing specialty; </li><li>Engaged in professional practice on a unit with a similar patient population and level of patient acuity where they will be assigned for the purpose of supervising advanced practice nursing students; </li><li>Demonstrated ability to teach effectively, provide clinical supervision, provide student feedback, and direct group discussion; </li><li>Demonstrated professionalism in meeting and conferring with others; </li><li>Demonstrated competency in interdisciplinary team work and team science. </li></ul> <p>Desirable Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field from a college or university of recognized standing. </li><li>Experience supervising nursing advanced practice practicum students. </li><li>Coursework in curriculum development and health sciences education. </li><li>Demonstrated competency in Evidence Based Practice and DNP Scholarly projects. </li></ul> <p>To Apply:</p> <p>Click on the "Apply" button on the top right corner of the screen to complete an application and upload the required documents.
