This particular role supports the Endo-Mech & Energy (EM&E) franchise within the Surgery business, which has annual raw material spend of over $700 million across a sophisticated network of materials & suppliers.</p> <p>The Senior Financial Analyst will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Serve as primary Finance business partner for the global EM&E Procurement and Supply Chain teams to analyze financial data and influence business decisions</p> </li><li> <p>Independently lead key month-end close and forecasting processes, including building content for and presenting to EM&E Supply Chain leadership</p> </li><li> <p>Forecast, track, and analyze purchase price variances, including but not limited to cost improvement projects, market-driven price increases, and other raw material surcharges.</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with Surgery PMO to proactively track and validate business cases behind cost savings (for both existing products and upcoming new product launches), operational expenses, and capital expenditures</p> </li><li> <p>Proactively look for opportunities to streamline and automate processes, including acting as a change agent during the CFIN/Anaplan go-lives for MTSC</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance is kept at the forefront with respect to both general accounting and J&J Procurement policies & procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate annual standard cost setting with business partners</p> </li><li> <p>Support ad hoc business needs in a sophisticated, matrixed environment</p> </li></ul> <p>Leadership Traits:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong influencer: positive change agent with the ability to frame and communicate issues and solutions to build consensus for implementing process improvements</p> </li><li> <p>Collaboration and teaming: effective partnering skills with colleagues both in and out of Source finance</p> </li><li> <p>Result & performance driven: assumes full ownership and accountability for delivering results</p> </li><li> <p>Sense of urgency: ability to identify, prioritize, and execute work/project plans</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work under time pressure while keeping a high level of quality</p> </li><li> <p>Strong analytical/technical skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
