<p>The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) performs a variety of therapy procedures and treatments under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR); assisting clients to improve their ability to perform daily living tasks, basic motor functions and cognitive ability.</p> <p>Hours: On call</p> <p>Pay: $30.00/hour-$34.00/hour</p> <p>Primary responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide Occupational Therapy treatments and procedures to clients under the direction of a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR), and in accordance with physician orders. </li><li>Collaborate with the IDT (interdisciplinary team) and OTR to ensure adequate and appropriate flow of services. </li><li>Provide support and counseling to individuals and families concerning loss of function, and coping with issues as they relate. </li><li>Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and organization requirements. </li><li>Assist in the maintenance of up-to-date program and techniques to enhance occupational therapy services provided. </li><li>Support various other Rehab responsibilities as needed. </li></ul> <p>Job Specifications</p> <p>Education, Experience and Credentials</p> <ul> <li>Associate's Degree from an accredited school in Occupational Therapy Assistant required. </li><li>One or more years experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant working with a geriatric population preferred. </li><li>Must be registered and licensed with the State of Minnesota as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant and must maintain licensure. </li><li>CPR/First Aid certified through American Red Cross required. </li></ul> <p>0</p> <p>0</p>
