Counselors are responsible for planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out activities and guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills.</p> <p>Join us in furthering the mission of Club U Summer Day Camp through the delivery of summer program activities that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the campers' age and abilities under the supervision of the Club U leadership team.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ol> <li> <p>Supervise, direct, and manage behavior of groups of campers ages 5-9.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead and participate in activities such as field trips, swimming, sports, arts & crafts, and more.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate with camper guardians, guests, and camp leadership staff on a daily basis.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to obtain CPR & First Aid certification provided during training (if not already obtained).</p> </li></ol> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>This is an entry-level position. Training will be provided. Must demonstrate an interest in learning about child development and guidance; a willingness to take direction from the assigned teacher; Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) background check, first aid training are required. Demonstrated human relation and effective human relations skills are also required.</p> <p>Preferences</p> <p>Experience and/or interest in working with youth ages 5-9 in a high energy, outdoor setting.</p> <p>At least 18 years of age (or 17 with previous camp employment).</p> <p>Special Instructions Summary Additional Information</p> <p>The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems ("URS").
