<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Reporting to the Section Leader, Mammography/Sonography, utilizes high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques for medical diagnosis. Produces and evaluates ultrasound images and related data.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Graduate of an educational program that meets eligibility for ARDMS registry.</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Previous experience as a sonographer strongly preferred.</p> <p>Licensure and/or Certification</p> <p>Current registration with ARDMS; or ARDMS-eligible with ARDMS achieved within 1 year of hire.</p> <p>BLS healthcare provider required.</p> <p>Skills</p> <p>Ultrasound scanning skills in vascular, OBGYN, abdominal and small parts required.</p> <p>Must be able to understand oral and written medical/radiological/sonographic terminology.</p> <p>Must have comprehension of cross-sectional anatomy and correlation with anatomical structures.</p> <p>Must be able to identify pathological processes.</p> <p>Ability to read, write, and communicate in English required.</p> <p>Computer skills required.</p> <p>Ability to maintain confidential information.</p>
