<ul> <li> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for assisting in performance improvement activities in achieving efficiencies in the UCC setting. Under the guidance/direction of the Nurse Manager: plans, organizes and directs daily operations at UCC with the support of all UCC staff. Responsible for assisting Nurse Manager on coordination of training, employee files, scheduling, Joint Commission readiness and evaluation of employees within the UCC</p> </li><li> <p>DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with Interviewing, hiring and coordinate proper training of employees, direct daily work flows, rewarding and recognition, as well as assisting with discipline</p> </li><li> <p>Overall performance of below indicated essential job duties:</p> </li><li> <p>Works in collaboration with the UCC Nurse Manager to work with other departments throughout the organization to become a clinically integrated network. Communicates clearly and often with direct reports and fosters and environment of teamwork and trust; drive team to be patient centered and reviews patient perception of care scores with UCC Nurse Manager.</p> </li><li> <p>Works with UCC Nurse Manager to say within the approved FY budgets; assist in developing strategic long and short-term plans/goals that are in line with the health system</p> </li><li> <p>Assist to enhance operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment and high-quality patient care</p> </li><li> <p>Contributes to the success of the organization by participating in organizational and customer service/employee relations</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor daily volumes and staffing needs that is in line with overall UCC budget</p> </li><li> <p>EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER REQUIREMENTS</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum requirement:</p> </li><li> <p>Achieves and maintains American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)</p> </li><li> <p>High School/GED Equivalent</p> </li><li> <p>3 years previous experience in Outpatient/Urgent Care Setting</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient with computer and programs needed</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred qualifications:</p> </li><li> <p>2 years management experience</p> </li><li> <p>WORKING ENVIRONMENT</p> </li><li> <p>Constantly works near moving mechanical parts</p> </li><li> <p>Constantly exposed to blood and/or body fluids and infection.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally exposed to risk of radiation</p> </li><li> <p>The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.</p> </li><li> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally required to maintain in a stationary position (standing or sitting).</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently required to walk and move about.</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently required to operate a computer and other equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently required to use fine motor skills to handle and operate instruments/devices.</p> </li><li> <p>Constantly required to lift and/or move items up to 10 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently required to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally required to lift and/or move items up to 100 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Constantly required to communicate with patients and other care team requiring talking and hearing.</p> </li><li> <p>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally required to position self in order to meet patient needs.</p> </li></ul>
