We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.</p> <p>Stroke Program Coordinator - 40hr Day - MGB Neuroscience Institute</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>This teammate provides ongoing support to the Joint Commission-certified Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC) program.</p> <p>Assists with program direction and coordination of the CSC, including quality assurance and maintaining Joint Commission certification, Department of Public Health Designation, and Get with the Guidelines Quality Award Status.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Functions as a clinical nursing expert in the delivery of stroke care. </li><li>Utilizes medical records to abstract stroke data both manually and electronically for quality review and certification programs. </li><li>Assists with identifying and analyzing system barriers to the provision of stroke patient care, and develops a plan to resolve such barriers in collaboration with stroke leadership. </li><li>Provides feedback and outreach to EMS as required by the Joint Commission. </li><li>Responsible for hospital-wide stroke education program for nurses, rehabilitation professionals, care coordination, social work, and environmental services as required by the Joint Commission. </li><li>Assists with preparation for CSC Joint Commission visits. </li><li>Maintains updated knowledge of all regulatory standards. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree Nurse required</p> </li><li> <p>This role cannot accept experience in lieu of a degree</p> </li><li> <p>Massachusetts Registered Nurse required</p> </li><li> <p>Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) - American Board of Neuroscience Nurses (ABNN) preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Experience as a Neuroscience RN, preferably in the ICU setting 5-7 years strongly preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Experience with quality improvement in a hospital setting preferred </li><li>Clinical chart review and abstraction experience required </li><li>Computer literacy including PowerPoint and Excel </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills </li></ul> <p>Additional Job Details (if applicable)</p> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li> <p>M-F Eastern Business hours required</p> </li><li> <p>Onsite Hybrid model</p> </li><li> <p>Remote Work requires stable, secure, quiet, compliant working area</p> </li></ul> <p>Remote Type</p> <p>Hybrid</p> <p>Work Location</p> <p>75 Francis Street</p> <p>Scheduled Weekly Hours</p> <p>40</p> <p>Employee Type</p> <p>Regular</p> <p>Work Shift</p> <p>Day (United States of America)</p> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>$97,510.40 - $141,804.00/Annual</p> <p>Grade</p> <p>8</p> <p>At Mass General Brigham, we believe in recognizing and rewarding the unique value each team member brings to our organization.
