Treatment plans may include therapeutic exercises, pain management techniques, mobility training, and patient education focused on recovery, injury prevention, and restoring independence. This role involves direct patient interaction and requires strong communication, compassion, and the ability to motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have prior acute care experience in inpatient acute care or acute rehabilitation settings. Experience in a fast-paced inpatient environment is strongly preferred, as this position supports patients with complex clinical needs in a dynamic acute care setting.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works full-time| 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm| some weekends| 1 major holiday/1 minor holiday.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform initial and on-going assessments of patient condition.</p> </li><li> <p>Establish, revise and evaluate a plan of care appropriate to problems identified and involve the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise activities of Physical Therapy Assistants, students and other support personnel.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree or certificate</p> </li><li> <p>Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association</p> </li><li> <p>Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience in a clinical area</p> </li><li> <p>Acute care or rehab experience</p> </li><li> <p>Inpatient experience</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to walk and climb stairs without assistive device and to maintain balance despite sudden load in order to support patient from falling.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to meet physical demands characterized at the heavy level defined by 1993 Leonard Matheson and Ministry of Labor.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to lift and reach with arms sufficiently to lift patient's arm and leg during therapeutic treatment program.</p> </li><li> <p>Sensation of touch and manual dexterity to be able to palpate muscle tension or to monitor patient pulse.</p> </li><li> <p>Visual acuity to observe patient's gross and fine motor movements in order to analyze these movements and to read all patient monitors.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to speak clearly enough to instruct patients and families.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to hear at a conversational level to understand patient's description of symptoms and response to treatment.</p> </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum Annual Salary: $69,600.00</p> <p>Maximum Annual Salary: $106,132.50</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
