Grasmick Education\nBuilding\n200 West Baltimore Street\nBaltimore, MD? 21201\n?\nHybrid schedule available (2\ntelework days permitted each week)\n</p> <p>POSITION DUTIES</p> <p>This\nposition serves as an extended learning opportunities specialist responsible\nfor providing leadership and technical assistance in the areas of summer and\nafter school learning opportunities and youth development to 21st Century\nCommunity grant recipients and Maryland's 24 local education agencies (LEAs). \n?\nResponsibilities\ninclude:\n\n\n Serves as the technical specialist\n for monitoring of 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st\n CCLC) funded afterschool programs.\n Provides leadership, managerial\n direction, and technical assistance to local recipients of the 21st\n CCLC funded grants.\n Assists in the design, development,\n implementation, and evaluation of afterschool programs designed to improve the\n academic achievement of disadvantaged children.\n Provides professional development\n to 21st CCLC grantees in Maryland's 24 LEAs.\n\n\n</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education:\nA Master's degree or the equivalent of 36 credit hours of post-baccalaureate\ncourse work from an accredited college or university.\n?\nExperience: Four years of administrative or teaching experience in, or\naffiliated with, an education program.\n?\nNotes:\n1.\nCandidates\nmay substitute a Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience directly related\nto the position option for the required education.\n2.\nCandidates\nmay substitute the possession of a Doctorate degree from an accredited college\nor university in a field related to the position option for one year of the\nrequired experience.\n3.\nThe\nrequired field of education and experience are unique for each option and are established\nby MSDE in accordance with Education Article, Section 2-104 of the Annotated\nCode of Maryland. The specific education and experience qualifications for each\nposition are on record in the Office of Human Resources.\n4.\nCandidates\nmay substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned\nofficer in Education Program classifications or Education Program specialty\ncodes in the Education field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required\nexperience and education.\n</p> <p>SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>\n\n Must have 2 years of experience in writing, reviewing or\n managing State or Federal grants.\n\n\n</p> <p>DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Preference will be given to\napplicants?who possess the following preferred\nqualification(s).?Include clear and specific information on your\napplication regarding?your qualifications.\n?\n\n\n\n Project Management experience, to include\n directing, leading, planning and managing projects.\n Experience in developing, coordinating, and delivering training. \n Experience with\n preparing written reports and presentations.\n\n\n</p> <p>LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS</p> <p>Employees in this classification\nmay be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle.\nEmployees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle\noperator's license valid in the State of Maryland.\n</p> <p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>Applicants must consent to a State\nPolice Investigation (fingerprinting) as a routine procedure for all employees\nwith this Agency.\n</p> <p>SELECTION PROCESS</p> <p>This recruitment may also be used\nto fill future Regular and Contractual vacancies.\nPlease make sure that you provide\nsufficient information on your application to show that you meet the\nqualifications for this recruitment.
