REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ol> <li> <p>Must be currently enrolled in a Master's of Public Health program at an accredited college or university.</p> </li><li> <p>Possess a valid motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license.</p> </li></ol> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <p>Collects and retains statistical information on communicable diseases, chronic diseases and injuries, and population statistics from various records, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reports, and Health Division files for future health planning.</p> <p>May prepare written and statistical reports for submission and/or presentation to the (MDHHS) and other state agencies and Health Division personnel.</p> <p>Participates in field investigations of epidemic situations and communicable disease outbreak studies at hotels or food establishments involving analysis and interpretation of data collected to determine the origin and cause of the disease(s). Assists with the control measures to limit spread.</p> <p>Assists with the implementation of disease and injury control policy relative to ongoing and projected disease control activities for the various service areas of the Health Division, and for concerned community agencies and officials.</p> <p>Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.</p> <p>ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Assists in a variety of activities performed by Health Division personnel.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>Ability to communicate and operate typical office equipment and handle supplies.</p> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS</p> <p>Work is performed in a typical office environment.</p> <p>May participate in activities that require driving or being a passenger in an automobile.</p> <p>IMPORTANT NOTE: The primary purpose of this job description is to set a fair and equitable salary range for this job classification.
