This position also supports census development by identifying community needs, strengthening referral networks, and promoting program services to key stakeholders.</p> <p>This role is very goal driven with a sales focus with skills such as inspiring trust, building strong relationships, and continuing to consistently following up.</p> <p>WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE FOR THIS ROLE:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. </li><li>Experience in community outreach, marketing, business development, referral management, or relationship management. </li><li>Experience in behavioral health, addiction recovery, or healthcare services. </li><li>Strong communication, professionalism and networking skills with the ability to build trust and lasting partnerships. </li><li>Experience with computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required. </li><li>The candidate must exhibit compassion toward people living with behavioral health and substance use issues, Hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS and the ability to convey respect to target populations and community partners. </li><li>The candidate must have the background and aptitude to learn and apply Volunteers of America's personnel and program policies and procedures. </li><li>Driver's license preferred and own vehicle for transportation are requirements of the job. </li></ul> <p>This position is primarily community-based and involves regular travel to partner organizations, meetings, and community events.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Community Outreach & Business Development</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and persistently develop relationships with community partners including hospitals, courts, probation and parole, legal professionals, social service agencies, and healthcare providers to promote admissions. </li><li>Represent VOA professionally at referral generating activities such as outreach visits, presentations, and meetings to educate partners about addiction recovery services. Promote services through networking, community engagement, and marketing initiatives. </li><li>Maintain persistent follow-up with community partners to strengthen relationships and generate qualified leads. </li></ul> <p>Referral Management & Intake Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Complete referral screenings, verify insurance and schedule admission appointments. </li><li>Coordinate services with referral agencies to assist clients who have specific treatment needs not addressed by the VOA Mid-States. </li><li>Collaborate with admissions and clinical teams to ensure smooth referral coordination and timely access to services. </li></ul> <p>Census Development & Program Growth</p> <ul> <li>Contribute to census development through strategic outreach by monitoring referral trends, assessing community needs and using data. </li><li>Work proactively, persistently and effectively with community partners to optimize outreach efforts to ensure admissions. </li><li>Develop and maintain strategies to meet short- and long-term program census goals. </li></ul> <p>We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.</p>
