<p>Lead a growing, multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center.</p> <p>Meritus Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to lead the clinical and operational functions of the C.P. Choudari Surgery Center, located at Robinwood Professional Center. This leadership role oversees a newly expanding, multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, compliance, and operational excellence.</p> <p>This position offers a unique opportunity to help shape and grow an ASC while working alongside highly respected physicians and a dedicated, collaborative care team.</p> <p>About the Center</p> <ul> <li>Operating Rooms: 2 ORs and 1 procedure room </li><li>Specialties Served: Gynecology, Urology, ENT, Cosmetic/Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, and other procedures appropriate for an ASC setting </li><li>Team Size: Oversees approximately 10-15 FTEs </li><li>Hours of Operation: Currently 6:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. </li><li>Growth Opportunity: Multi-specialty services are expanding in this space </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Operational Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Manage day-to-day clinical and administrative operations, including patient scheduling, pre-operative assessments, surgical procedures, recovery, and discharge processes </li><li>Ensure smooth, efficient workflows across all phases of care in a fast-paced outpatient environment </li></ul> <p>Team Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Lead, mentor, and evaluate a multidisciplinary team of nurses and support staff </li><li>Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and patient-centered care </li></ul> <p>Quality, Compliance & Accreditation</p> <ul> <li>Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures in alignment with ASC accreditation standards, CMS requirements, and state and federal regulations </li><li>Lead and support accreditation activities, including regulatory readiness and site visits </li><li>Conduct audits, data reviews, and performance evaluations to drive continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives </li></ul> <p>Collaboration & Growth</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and administrative partners to promote seamless coordination and positive patient outcomes </li><li>Support growth of surgical volume and services as the ASC expands </li></ul> <p>Financial & Operational Oversight</p> <ul> <li>Partner with finance and operational leaders to develop budgets, manage costs, and optimize resource utilization </li><li>Monitor productivity, staffing models, and operational efficiency </li></ul> <p>Community & Physician Relations</p> <ul> <li>Build and maintain strong relationships with referring providers and patients to enhance the center's reputation and service offerings </li></ul> <p>Who Thrives in This Role</p> <p>This role is a strong fit for a leader who:</p> <ul> <li>Has hands-on experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center and understands the operational flow from pre-op through discharge </li><li>Enjoys building and leading teams in a growing, multi-specialty environment </li><li>Is confident navigating ASC accreditation, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements </li><li>Has participated in-or led-accreditation site visits and understands survey readiness </li><li>Brings a balance of clinical expertise and operational discipline </li><li>Is proactive, organized, and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced outpatient setting </li><li>Values collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and administrative partners </li><li>Is energized by the opportunity to help shape and grow a newer ASC location </li><li>Maintains a patient-first mindset while keeping safety, quality, and efficiency front and center </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Business Management, or Healthcare Administration </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 5 years of RN experience </li><li>At least 1 year in an ambulatory or outpatient surgery setting </li><li>2 or more years in a leadership or management role </li><li>Required: Experience with ASC accreditation and regulatory compliance, including CMS and related governing bodies </li><li>Preferred: Direct experience leading or supporting ASC accreditation site visits </li></ul> <p>Licensure & Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Active Maryland RN license </li><li>BLS and ACLS certifications required </li></ul> <p>Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills </li><li>Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities </li><li>Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems </li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered surgical environment </li></ul> <p>Why Meritus Health?</p> <p>Join a mission-driven organization committed to advancing community health through compassionate care, innovation, and excellence.
