<p>The OD/ID Grinder is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining an (OD/ID grinding) machine to produce precision components according to specifications. This position ensures parts meet dimensional accuracy, surface finish requirements, and quality standards. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Set up and operate OD/ID grinding machines to perform precision grinding on various metal components </li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings </li><li>Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision measurement tools </li><li>Adjust machine feeds, speeds, and wheel dressing as needed to achieve required tolerances </li><li>Perform routine wheel dressing and changeovers </li><li>Inspect finished parts for accuracy, surface finish, and conformance to quality standards </li><li>Monitor machine performance and identify wear, malfunction, or need for maintenance </li><li>Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation </li><li>Perform other duties assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>2 plus years of previous experience operating OD/ID grinding machines preferred; Studer machine experience a plus. </li><li>Strong understanding of machining principles, tolerance control, and surface finishing </li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurement specifications </li><li>Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, etc.) </li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail </li><li>Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or machining certificate preferred </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive pay based on experience </li><li>Health insurance coverage </li><li>Retirement plan options </li><li>Paid time off </li></ul> <p>This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization.</p> <p>An equal employment opportunity employer.
