<p>Job Description Summary:</p> <p>We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Maintenance Technician at our Elkmont, AL vet lab. Our Maintenance Technician plays an essential role in equipment preventative maintenance, maintains deliveries, stock, and inventory, while working efficiently and cost effectively.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Follow company policy and meet established procedures regarding bio-security, animal welfare, safety, ISO requirements, and drug/alcohol policy. </li><li>Attendance is expected and required during normal working hours or during the assigned working schedule determined by the supervisor. </li><li>Follow procedures outlined in work instructions. </li><li>Monthly inventory counts. </li><li>Daily cleaning/janitorial work. </li><li>Maintain all incoming shipments and deliveries. </li><li>Accountable for supply receiving and paperwork. </li><li>Minor plumbing work. </li><li>HVAC filter changes. </li><li>Pressure washing, exterior cleaning as needed, </li><li>Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries. </li><li>Clean incinerator regularly. </li><li>Fill and properly label container bottles. </li><li>Launder lab coats </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Must possess the ability to apply common sense understanding to accomplish daily and weekly goals as well as deal with changing testing needs requested by supervisors or veterinarians. </li><li>Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs on a daily basis. </li><li>Must work well independently and as a team member. </li></ul> <p>Preferred but not required:</p> <ul> <li>Plumbing knowledge. </li><li>Basic computer skills, including creating documents and spreadsheets </li><li>Ability to communicate via e-mail </li></ul>
