Assists anesthesia staff with pressure line insertion procedures. Maintains adequate anesthesia related supply inventory. Performs routine assigned clinical tasks of limited complexity. Works under direct supervision within defined parameters.</p> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <p>Education and Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred </li><li>Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred </li><li>Completion of medical terminology course: Preferred </li><li>Experience in a healthcare setting: Preferred </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Anesthesia Technician certification: Preferred </li><li>Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) or RQIBLS or Heartsaver CPR (CPR): Required </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Operates autoclaves and other cleaning equipment, in adherence with established policies. </li><li>Assembles pressure line insertion and monitoring supplies and equipment. Assists physicians during line insertions. Troubleshoots patient monitoring equipment intraoperatively. </li><li>Tests functionality, stock and calibrates patient monitoring equipment as needed on a daily basis, including capnography monitor equipment, emergency airway carts, laryngoscopes, blades and pediatric carts. </li><li>Works collaboratively with staff, supervisors and vendors to ensure product quality while minimizing costs. </li><li>Makes decisions regarding own work, often limited and confined to routine matters.
