<p>Rider University invites applications for Lifeguards.   Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of all patrons using the campus pool facilities by preventing and responding to emergencies. This position plays a key role in fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and safety-conscious environment within the Aquatics program at Rider University.</p> <p>This is a part-time, temporary position.  </p> <ul> <li>Ability to remain alert, act quickly, and follow established emergency procedures. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. </li><li>Must hold current American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certification (or equivalent). </li><li>The successful candidate for this position will be subject to a pre-employment background check.   </li><li>Prior lifeguarding experience in a college or community setting. </li><li>Knowledge of pool chemicals, mechanical systems, or basic facility operations. </li><li>Additional certifications such as Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) or Water Safety Instructor (WSI) are a plus. </li></ul>
