This role combines hands-on customer service, operational leadership, and creative product preparation in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.</p> <p>You'll take an active role in daily store operations, guiding team members, serving customers, and ensuring everything from food prep to visual displays runs smoothly.</p> <p>If you love leading a team, delighting customers, and staying busy with a variety of hands-on tasks, you'll make a great Shift Lead.</p> <p>Store Location: This role will be based out of our Corporate Store in New Haven, CT</p> <p>Store Address: 101 Washington Avenue, North Haven CT 06473</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Greet every customer with warmth and enthusiasm; assist with product selections and personalized gift suggestions </li><li>Take and process orders in-store, online, and over the phone </li><li>Prepare and package a variety of edible products, following brand guidelines and portion standards </li><li>Support the creation of simple, ready-made floral arrangements and maintain any floral displays as needed </li><li>Keep product displays neat, well-stocked, and visually appealing </li><li>Lead and support team members during your shift to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service </li><li>Delegate tasks, manage workflow, and handle escalations in the absence of the General Manager </li><li>Help onboard and train new team members </li><li>Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and food handling standards </li><li>Work collaboratively with the General Manager and team to deliver a top-tier guest experience </li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>1-2 years of experience in a shift leader or supervisory role in retail, food service, or hospitality </li><li>Customer-first mindset with strong communication and service skills </li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment </li><li>Comfort with hands-on responsibilities including food prep, visual merchandising, and light floral work </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail </li><li>Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent required </li><li>Food handling or ServSafe certification is a plus </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to conduct frequent lifting, carrying and/or pushing objects weighing up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and scooping throughout assigned shifts. </li><li>Must be able to stand for long periods of time, up to 85% of the work shift. </li></ul> <p>We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer.
