You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, advancing quality outcomes, and shaping the future of imaging services within a premier academic medical center.</p> <p>This is a 100% onsite leadership opportunity based in the greater Chicagoland area.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Leadership & Strategy</p> <ul> <li>Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for assigned imaging modality(ies) </li><li>Develop and execute short- and long-term departmental goals aligned with organizational priorities </li><li>Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement </li></ul> <p>Operations Management</p> <ul> <li>Oversee daily operations across radiologic technologists, IR nurses, radiology nurses, and support staff </li><li>Optimize workflow, throughput, and patient experience </li><li>Develop and implement policies, procedures, and clinical protocols </li><li>Ensure effective staffing models and team structure </li></ul> <p>Quality & Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Maintain compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), FDA, IDPH, ARRT, RDMS, NMTCB, and other regulatory bodies </li><li>Lead accreditation readiness and audit processes </li><li>Drive quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics </li></ul> <p>Financial Management</p> <ul> <li>Manage and monitor operating budgets, productivity, and cost efficiency </li><li>Identify opportunities for resource optimization and service line growth </li><li>Support financial planning and performance objectives </li></ul> <p>People Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams </li><li>Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action when needed </li><li>Navigate and support union environments and collective bargaining agreements </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field </li><li>5+ years of Radiology/Imaging experience </li><li>3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience </li><li>Strong knowledge of radiology operations, workflow, and patient care standards </li><li>Experience with regulatory compliance and accreditation (TJC, state, federal) </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree (MHA, MBA, or related field) </li><li>Certifications such as ARRT, RDMS, or NMTCB </li><li>Experience in an academic medical center or large health system </li><li>Background working in Interventional Radiology (IR) or multi-modality leadership </li></ul> <p>Key Skills for Success</p> <ul> <li>Radiology Operations Management </li><li>Imaging Services Leadership </li><li>Budget & Financial Management (P&L) </li><li>Regulatory Compliance & Accreditation </li><li>Process Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) </li><li>Team Development & Employee Engagement </li><li>Patient Experience & Quality Outcomes </li></ul> <p>Apply today to join UChicago Medicine and help shape the future of Radiology.</p> <p>Why Join Us</p> <p>We've been at the forefront of medicine since 1899. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.</p> <p>The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity.
