Please see the Supplemental Information section below for details!</p> <p>About Fort Logan:</p> <p>The Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan (CMHIFL) is one of two state hospitals serving our community. The vision of CMHIFL is to provide the highest quality mental health services to persons with complex, serious, and persistent mental illness within the resources available. Our mission is to support those individuals in achieving their recovery goals and reaching their full potential. CMHIFL provides inpatient treatment to adult patients, generally between the ages of 18-59. The hospital currently has 138 adult inpatient beds and over six treatment milieus serving civil and forensic individuals. This position is also eligible for shift differential on the weekends.</p> <p>About this Work Unit:</p> <p>The Nutrition Services Department provides quality meals and medical nutrition therapy to patients in a mental health facility. Meals meet the nutritional, medical, spiritual, cultural, and mental health needs of the patient population and are prepared in a manner that meets established standards.</p> <p>Purpose of this position:</p> <p>This position establishes and revises working standards and procedures for the daily operation of the storeroom. This position plans, organizes and implements all purchasing and inventory related functions and is responsible for the receipt, storage and distribution of goods. This position ensures storeroom compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines. This position maintains CBORD functionality especially in the areas of service, purchasing, inventory and issuing. </p> <p>Primary Job Duties:</p> <p>Receiving and Distribution of Goods: </p> <p>This position is responsible for the receipt, storage and distribution of goods in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures:</p> <ul> <li>Receives and inspects deliveries for quality, quantity, grade, freshness, packaging and specifications and labels every product and places them accordingly. </li><li>Unpacks shipments, compares invoices with purchase requisitions, verifies invoices for accuracy, refuses items that are spoiled/damaged, adjusts invoices and follows up with the vendor. </li><li>Resolves disputes with vendors when goods received do not match goods delivered. </li><li>Distributes goods to teams weekly and completes all necessary paperwork and enters information into CBORD. </li><li>Receives orders in CBORD and prepares documents (CBORD reports, invoices and receiving reports) and submits to administration for approval. </li></ul> <p>Purchasing & Inventory Control & Utilization/Maintenance of CBORD system:</p> <p>This position completes vendor purchase orders for food, non-food items utilizing CBORD, vendor websites, etc.</p> <ul> <li>Plans optimal ordering patterns based on individual vendor attributes. </li><li>Develops and maintains organization of inventory storage locations, updates and maintains accurate inventory data, maintains forms, records and other paperwork in support of inventory control. </li><li>Controls inventory for food and non-food supplies, ensuring Nutrition Services is fully stocked and ensures all stock is rotated properly. </li><li>Stores food and supplies in designated locations by using the First In, First Out Method (FIFO). </li><li>Maintains CBORD functionality especially in the areas of service, purchasing, inventory and issuing; must have a working knowledge of CBORD software to include creating/tracking requisitions, purchasing and order scheduler, inventory tracking, daily pulls and advance withdrawal lists, etc. </li><li>Maintains efficient and effective inventory storage, monitors refrigerator/freezer, dry storage temperatures, inspects storage areas for deterioration, contamination, infestation, etc. </li><li>Works with supervisor, facilities and department director if alternative storage location is needed due to malfunction or overstock of product. </li></ul> <p>Compliance, Safety and Security:</p> <p>This position monitors goods in the storeroom to ensure they are properly labeled and dated, ensures proper storage of hazardous chemicals by following Safety Data Sheets (SDS) guidelines and procedures, complies with the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) and Joint Commission regarding sanitation, food safety, proper storage, etc. This position maintains up-to-date knowledge on storeroom safety and security practices. This position is responsible for the completion of weekly team kitchen audits and maintenance of emergency food supplies</p> <p>Performs Other Duties as AssignedApplicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed below to continue in the selection process for this position. Do not use "see resume" or "see attached" statements on your application. </p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Experience Only: Three (3) years of relevant experience in receiving, storing and distributing a wide variety of food and supplies, maintaining inventory, purchasing and ensuring food safety standards are followed, or similar.</p> <p>OR</p> <p>Education and Experience: A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to three (3) years</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience working in a healthcare setting or other facility (mental health, correctional, school, senior living, etc)</p> </li><li> <p>ServSafe Certification/Food Handler License</p> </li><li> <p>Experience using foodservice software</p> </li><li> <p>Experience using Google Workspace or Microsoft Office systems</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in a position that involves heavy physical labor</p> </li></ul> <p>Conditions of Employment: </p> <ul> <li> <p>Full Background - Name and fingerprint check, ICON Colorado court database, Medicare fraud database, Reference Checks, Professional License verification, Drug Screen, Trails check (direct contact with children), CAPS</p> </li><li> <p>Essential Services Designation - Must be available for call back to perform essential and/or emergency services of the agency without delay or interruption</p> </li><li> <p>Annual influenza and other vaccinations as required by the state of Colorado; must pass a pre-placement physical/medical screening: TB Test</p> </li><li> <p>Must be available for shift work</p> </li><li> <p>Use, Handling, or Exposure to hazardous materials</p> </li><li> <p>Former State employees who were disciplinarily terminated or resigned in lieu of termination must (1) disclose that information on the application (2) provide an explanation why the prior termination or resignation should not disqualify the applicant from the current position, (3) provide the employee number from the applicant's prior State employment.
