<p>Apogee Architectural Metals</p> <p>Material Handler I - Inventory & Shipping (Multiple Shifts Available)</p> <p>Job Overview</p> <p>Join our team and play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly. As a Material Handler I, you will help manage inventory and ensure products are accurately received, picked, packed, and shipped to customers.</p> <p>This is a fast-paced, team-oriented role where attention to detail and reliability make a meaningful impact every day.</p> <p>Pay</p> <p>Starting at $19.25/hour plus $2.00 shift differentials and overtime opportunities</p> <p>Shift Options</p> <ul> <li>2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM </li><li>3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM </li><li>A/B Days (2-2-3): 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM </li><li>A/B Nights (2-2-3): 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Receive, pick, pack, and ship materials accurately </li><li>Manage inventory, including cycle counts and stock rotation </li><li>Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking and reporting </li><li>Investigate and resolve discrepancies in orders or inventory </li><li>Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and SOPs </li><li>Perform basic computer and data entry tasks </li><li>Safely operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks) </li><li>Maintain organized and efficient inventory storage </li><li>Support all Material Handler I responsibilities through cross-training </li></ul> <p>Required Skills and Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred </li><li>Ability to operate basic material handling equipment </li><li>Ability to use and read measuring devices (tape measures) </li><li>Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.) </li><li>Ability to read blueprints </li><li>Ability to follow Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures </li><li>Basic computer proficiency (data entry) </li></ul> <p>Performance Expectations</p> <ul> <li>Comprehend and follow instructions </li><li>Complete assigned tasks efficiently </li><li>Maintain appropriate work pace </li><li>Ensure accuracy in completed work </li><li>Support a continuous improvement culture </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, temperature changes, and dust </li><li>Work near machinery with moving parts while following strict safety protocols </li><li>Shift-based schedules with potential overtime, including weekends </li><li>Team-oriented setting focused on safety and collaboration </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us</p> <ul> <li>Competitive starting pay with shift opportunities </li><li>Stable, full-time employment </li><li>Active, hands-on role </li><li>Opportunity to learn and grow within operations </li></ul> <p>Our Benefits</p> <p>We care about and invest in our employees.
