<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing daily outbound shipping activities to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective delivery of customer orders. This role serves as the primary link between the warehouse, freight carriers, and internal teams to maintain smooth shipping operations and high service levels.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Coordinate daily outbound shipments, including parcel, LTL, and full truckload orders</p> <p>Prepare and verify shipping documents (BOLs, packing lists, labels, customs paperwork as required)</p> <p>Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to schedule carrier pickups and communicate shipment details to carriers and internal stakeholders</p> <p>Ensure orders are shipped accurately, on time, and in compliance with company and carrier requirements</p> <p>Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays, damages, or delivery issues</p> <p>Maintain accurate shipping records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS)/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) computer systems</p> <p>Verify freight bills and assist with freight claims as needed</p> <p>Collaborate with warehouse teams to prioritize orders and adjust to changing volume or deadlines</p> <p>Support continuous improvement initiatives related to shipping accuracy, cost, and efficiency</p> <p>Adhere to safety policies and standard operating procedures</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred</p> <p>2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations</p> <p>Working knowledge of common shipping methods (UPS, FedEx, LTL, FTL)</p> <p>Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Transportation Management System (TMS) business computer systems</p> <p>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</p> <p>Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment</p> <p>Clear communication skills and a customer-service mindset</p> <p>Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)</p> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <p>Experience coordinating freight across multiple carriers</p> <p>Familiarity with freight cost control and basic rate analysis</p> <p>Experience in high-volume distribution or manufacturing environments</p> <p>Forklift certification or willingness to obtain (if applicable)</p> <p>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)</p> <p>On-time shipment performance</p> <p>Shipping accuracy rate</p> <p>Freight cost adherence</p> <p>Documentation and system accuracy</p> <p>Carrier issue resolution timeliness</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Ability to sit, stand, and walk in a warehouse environment</p> <p>Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally</p> <p>Comfortable working around material handling equipment</p>
