<p>Job Description</p> <p>A Fortune 500 company has an opening for a Catering Chef, the senior culinary leader responsible for overseeing all back-of-house culinary operations within a large, high-volume corporate dining environment. This role ensures exceptional food quality, operational excellence, menu innovation, and a consistently elevated dining experience for employees, guests, and stakeholders.</p> <p>Successful candidates must be committed to very high-quality control standards, quick turnaround times, and tight, immovable deadlines. Core competencies include: leadership in a fast-paced culinary environment, strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple production areas simultaneously, excellent communication, and a deep commitment to customer service and culinary excellence. The Chef de Cuisine will collaborate with culinary leadership, hospitality teams, and client partners to ensure seamless execution and consistent satisfaction.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Culinary Leadership & Team Development</p> <ul> <li>Lead, train, mentor, and inspire all kitchen personnel to ensure culinary excellence across all service periods. </li><li>Oversee scheduling, workflow planning, performance standards, and professional development of kitchen staff. </li><li>Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement. </li></ul> <p>Operational Oversight & Production Management</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and coordinate all culinary operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and timely service. </li><li>Estimate food consumption, forecast needs, and manage purchasing and requisitions to align with budget and demand. </li><li>Maintain oversight of production logs, recipe adherence, and standardized cooking methods across all kitchens. </li><li>Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained, utilized safely, and serviced as needed. </li></ul> <p>Menu Innovation & Quality Control</p> <ul> <li>Develop, test, and refine recipes that align with client expectations, nutrition guidelines, and brand standards. </li><li>Plan and price menus while ensuring alignment with financial targets and food cost management strategies. </li><li>Establish and uphold presentation standards, plating guidelines, and overall culinary aesthetics. </li></ul> <p>Safety, Sanitation & Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Guarantee adherence to all food safety regulations, sanitation protocols, and internal quality assurance standards. </li><li>Maintain compliance with corporate policies, local health codes, and safety requirements. </li><li>Conduct regular kitchen inspections and corrective action processes. </li></ul> <p>Special Events & Client Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Oversee culinary execution for special events, executive meetings, VIP engagements, and catered functions. </li><li>Provide culinary demonstrations or instruction as needed to support workplace programming and client experience goals. </li><li>Work closely with hospitality, nutrition, and operations teams to ensure seamless guest experiences. </li></ul> <p>At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers.
