<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Bellarmine University is currently seeking applications for an Adjunct Faculty position to teach Comm310: Graphic Communication in an online asynchronous format to enhance our curriculum in the Department of Communication. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to engage with students and introduce them to the fundamentals of graphic communication.</p> <p>The successful applicant will guide students as they learn the theory and practice of graphic communication and the Adobe programs Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. The successful applicant will also introduce students to a range of production techniques and computer skills.</p> <p>Teaching Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Conducting all assigned class sessions punctually and adequately prepared, demonstrating expertise in the practices and theories of graphic communication and a range of production techniques and computer skills as well as effective instructional strategies. </li><li>Designing and evaluating assignments aligned with the course objectives and learning outcomes, providing constructive feedback to students to enhance their abilities to use the Adobe programs Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. </li><li>Holding regular weekly office hours to provide individualized support and guidance to students. </li><li>Submitting final grades to the registrar within designated deadlines and conducting comprehensive evaluations for each course. </li><li>Adhering to an approved syllabus or collaborating with the Department Director to develop a suitable syllabus based on established learning objectives. </li></ul> <p>Visa sponsorship is not provided for this position.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>A master's degree in Communication or related field (or equivalent professional experience)</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience teaching graphic communication or graphic design at the undergraduate level required </li><li>Experience teaching undergraduate courses using online learning management systems, such as Moodle, Canvas or Blackboard, preferred </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Bellarmine University is committed to core values of diversity, equity and inclusion and embraces diversity in our workforce among members of faculty, staff and administration.
