For more information, please visit www.cambridgeassociates.com.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Accounting Manager will play a key role in overseeing accounting operations while driving transformation and efficiency initiatives within the organization. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this position requires a forward-thinking individual who can manage day-to-day accounting functions, ensure compliance, and lead efforts to modernize processes and systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement, ideally within the financial services sector.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Accounting Operations</p> <ul> <li>Manage day to day accounting of the US parent company as well as centralized accounting functions for revenue and fixed assets. </li><li>Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and compliance with accounting standards. </li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., FP&A, Treasury, Tax) to resolve accounting-related issues and support organizational goals. </li><li>Manage a team of 2-3 staff, providing guidance and performance feedback. </li></ul> <p>Transformation and Efficiency Initiatives</p> <ul> <li>Lead efforts to modernize accounting processes, focusing on automation and streamlining workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy. </li><li>Collaborate with the business process group and technology teams to implement system enhancements and automation tools. </li><li>Identify opportunities for process optimization, including reducing manual tasks and improving reporting capabilities. </li><li>Support the implementation of new accounting standards and organizational changes. </li></ul> <p>Financial Reporting & Analysis</p> <ul> <li>Analyze financial results and provide actionable insights to support decision-making. </li><li>Prepare and deliver ad hoc reporting requests and provide detailed financial analysis as needed. </li></ul> <p>Compliance and Audit</p> <ul> <li>Ensure adherence to US GAAP and internal accounting policies. </li><li>Coordinate with external auditors, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to audit inquiries. </li></ul> <p>Team Leadership and Development</p> <ul> <li>Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. </li><li>Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA is a plus. </li><li>Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in general ledger accounting, accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance, preferably in financial services or investment management. </li><li>Experience managing teams and driving process improvements. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of US GAAP. </li><li>Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP platforms (e.g. Oracle); experience with automation and system enhancements is a plus. </li><li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills. </li><li>Strong leadership and team management abilities. </li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments. </li><li>Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance. </li></ul> <p>The firm is committed to the concept and practice of equal employment opportunity and will not discriminate against any employee or applicant on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status.
