<p>Job Title: Patient Access Representative</p> <p>Location: Monmouth Medical Center</p> <p>Department Name: Emergency Dept Access Service</p> <p>Req #: 0000224724</p> <p>Status: Hourly</p> <p>Shift: Day</p> <p>Pay Range: $23.28 - $23.28 per hour</p> <p>Pay Transparency:</p> <p>The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.</p> <p>The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.</p> <p>Job Overview:</p> <p>The Patient Access Representative position plays a key role in the health system and in providing excellent customer service while ensuring timely throughput and capturing all necessary data timely.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Customer service experience </li><li>Patient Access experience preferred </li><li>Knowledge in all aspects of registration, Non-Federal and Federal billing regulations, and state programs such as Charity Care </li><li>Medical terminology and computer skills </li></ul> <p>Scheduling Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Per Diem Day </li><li>Start times vary </li><li>Rotating Weekends and holidays </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible to greet all patients in a timely and friendly manner </li><li>Provide a safe and secure environment for the patient during the registration process </li><li>Clearly review and communicate all forms and obtain required signatures for services provided </li><li>Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in collecting and documentation of the patient's demographic and insurance information, and utilizes the technology available to complete the registration </li><li>Participates in creating a positive environment for patient and colleague satisfaction </li><li>Responsible to collect co-payments, issues receipts for patients, and reconciles the daily cash within the PFS Department.
