<p>Roles and Responsibilities:</p> <p>(Include Safety and Environmental, Quality, and Job Specific Roles and Responsibilities)</p> <ul> <li>Perform routine trouble shooting and repair on equipment and support systems as required </li><li>Supports and participates in Continuous Improvement Events </li><li>Fabricate fixtures, jigs and carts per drawings approved by management or plant engineer. </li><li>Request the purchase of all needed supplies or parts. </li><li>Document necessary information. </li><li>Keep work space and equipment clean and well organized. </li><li>Perform proper preventive maintenance as required on any equipment being used. </li><li>Follow all safety guidelines and uses required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). </li><li>Responsible for actively participating in the maintenance and execution of National Office Furniture Emergency Action Plan. </li><li>Supports 5S initiatives </li><li>Implement process improvements. </li><li>Support the Vision and Guiding Principles and other policies of Kimball International and National Office Furniture. </li><li>Follow and support the Quality system. </li><li>Performs job rotation as directed. </li><li>Support our Environmental Management System (EMS). </li></ul> <p>Technical Skills</p> <ul> <li>Ability to comprehend and follow job safety guidelines </li><li>Able to read drawings and schematic diagrams </li><li>Able to lift parts from floor to operation level frequently </li><li>Skilled in the use of air driven hand tools </li><li>Capable of setting up forms/fixtures to specifications </li><li>Understands/follows proper lockout procedures </li><li>Able to perform preventative maintenance to tools/equipment </li><li>Must maintain forklift license. </li><li>Ability to work safely in a machine shop environment </li><li>Ability to use, drill press, lathes, milling machines, metal sheer, pipe threader, etc. </li><li>Basic knowledge of electricity, safe work practices </li><li>Ability to run conduit and pull electrical wire. </li><li>Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics </li><li>Able to maintain forms as appropriate. </li><li>Able to use required gauges and measuring devices </li><li>Able to use load moving devices </li></ul> <p>Resume Required</p> <p>High Level Statement of the Role:</p> <p>The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine troubleshooting and repair on equipment and support systems as required.</p>
