The REV Program Manager will primarily be responsible for developing tax incentive values for prospective REV eligible companies, review REV applications for completion and accuracy and generally promote REV and Illinois as a great location to do business. We welcome those who are interested in this exciting opportunity to apply today!</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Organizes, controls and evaluates business development incentives related to the Reimaging Energy and Vehicles (REV) in Illinois Act and program. </li><li>Plans, manages and controls the Business Development Reimaging Energy and Vehicles in Illinois Act objectives. </li><li>Serves as a subject matter expert on the Reimaging Energy and Vehicles in Illinois Act regarding rules, application and operationalization. </li><li>Serves as full-line supervisor. </li><li>Represents the agency before various private and public groups on a state and local level concerning the mission, goals and program objectives of the business development programs. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, with courses in business administration, public administration or political science. </li><li>Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization. </li><li>Requires three (3) years' experience managing economic development programs, including grants, loans, tax incentives or technical assistance (State and Local). </li><li>Requires three (3) years of professional experience in economics, marketing, and/or business administration. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Prefer two (2) or more years of experience in policy or document writing and review. </li><li>Prefer at least one (1) year experience managing government programs including tax incentives and grant programs. </li><li>Prefer at least three (3) years' experience developing program goals and measurable objectives. </li><li>Prefer at least two (2) years' experience working with business communities to ensure compliance with program requirements. </li><li>Prefer at least three (3) years' experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. </li><li>Prefer at least two (2) years' experience collecting and analyzing data, developing recommendations, and presenting recommendations to the executive staff. </li></ul> <p>Conditions of Employment</p> <ul> <li>Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history form. </li><li>Requires appropriate, valid driver's license. </li><li>Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate. </li><li>This position has been found to meet the requirements in section 4A-101 of the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act requiring the occupant/employee to file a Statement of Economic Interest.
