<p>Job Description: GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES</p> <p>The Support Staff Enrollment Services (part-time) serves as a member of the Student Financial Services department. This position performs cashiering, responds to inquiries and provides customer service. The Staff Assistant (part-time) processes forms, data entry, and other specialized clerical duties related to financial aid and student billing.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <p>Provide quality customer service. Respond to inquiries in-person and by telephone, chat software and email.Disseminate information regarding students' financials including financial aid status and tuition and fee billing.Cashiering/processing of tuition payments via cash, checks, and credit cards.Provide daily reconciliation of payment activity including the completion of reconciliation reports.Assists counselors with the Federal Work Study documentation processing and record-keeping.Support third party billing and "One Card" processing for students, faculty, and staff.Creation of documents including data entry needs to support student communicationReview, process, and update student related forms.Other clerical tasks as assigned and/or or required.</p> <p>Requirements: REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>High School Diploma requiredDemonstrated skills in management of financial transactions, customer service or higher education, information management, etc.Excellent written and verbal communication, computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and Gmail, and the ability to learn new software and other skills as needed.Familiarity with a higher education environment, information management software and a demonstrated ability to manage projects to completion within an organization.Must possess the ability to respond appropriately in a changing office environment while maintaining the focus required to see a task to conclusion.</p> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Associate degreeExperience with Ellucian Colleague</p> <p>EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT:</p> <p>Applicants who do not meet the qualifications as stated above are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience have prepared them with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience required for the responsibilities of this position.</p> <p>Additional Information: Working Conditions/Physical Demands:</p> <p>Works in an office setting. Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The individual needs to move about inside the office to access office machinery. Constantly operates a computer and other equipment i.e. copier. This person frequently communicates with students, faculty and staff. Must be able to exchange accurate information</p> <p>Work Schedule: Part-time18.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Requires flexibility to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as demand dictates.</p> <p>Salary: $18.00/hour Benefits: No Union: No Grant Funded: No Closing Date: Open until filled</p> <p>All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
