Join our committed team and help shape the future we envision.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Numerous physicians entrust their patients to the Gynecological Oncology Program at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dedicated to providing accurate diagnoses and comprehensive treatment services, Moffitt is a trusted name in gynecologic oncology and has been listed among "America's Best Hospitals" for cancer by U.S. News & World Report. We work closely with referring physicians and gynecologists to provide the best possible care for women of all ages.</p> <p>Our Gynecological (GYN) Oncology Clinic schedules 30 patients on a daily basis to receive care in relation to:</p> <ul> <li>A confirmed diagnosis of ovarian, cervical, vaginal, vulvar or endometrial/uterine cancer, germ cell tumors or gynecologic sarcoma </li><li>Pre-invasive diseases of the cervix, vulva or vagina </li><li>Gestational trophoblastic disease </li><li>A suspected diagnosis of any of the above conditions </li><li>Elevated tumor markers that warrant further diagnostic testing </li><li>Multiple risk factors, including a personal or family history of gynecological cancer, that warrant risk counseling and screening services </li></ul> <p>Our clinic offers the latest advancements in diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing and genetic screening, as well as innovations in surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and hormone therapy. Minimally invasive and fertility-sparing approaches are highlights of our program, as we understand the importance of family planning and organ preservation to our patients. We also have a robust clinical trials program, offering patients the option to access some of the latest treatments before they are widely available elsewhere. Recently completed phase 2 and 3 trials have investigated topics such as intraoperative imaging, immunotherapy and chemotherapy combinations for platinum-resistant TP53-mutated epithelial cancers. No matter which treatment a patient pursues, our tumor board will review her progress on a weekly basis to explore additional resources and treatment options to improve her outcome and quality of life.</p> <p>We are currently looking for a RN Advisor (Triage RN) to join our team.</p> <p>Position Highlights:</p> <ul> <li> <p>The RN Advisor uses the nursing process to effectively plan and manage patient care by providing individualized, quality nursing care to cancer patients and family members over the phone, in accordance with established Cancer Center guidelines, nursing care standards, and Moffitt Clinic policies.</p> </li><li> <p>Using the concepts of Duffy's Quality Caring Model, the RN Advisor ensures calls are answered promptly and accurately while assessing patient's urgent signs and symptoms.</p> </li><li> <p>The RN Advisor provides nursing interventions, acts as a liaison with the clinical team and documents assessment and interventions in the EHR.</p> </li></ul> <p>The Ideal Candidate</p> <ul> <li>The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: </li><li>At least 2 years of experience in Oncology as a Registered Nurse </li><li>At least 2 years of experience In Malignant Hematology as a Registered Nurse </li><li>OCN or ACON certification </li><li>Call center experience </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Answer calls using Moffitt Promise Guidelines (AIDET), the quality caring factors, and the nursing process to assess the patient's issue, plan and properly evaluate the care. </li><li>Complete, accurate and timely nursing documentation. </li><li>Exercise clinical judgment and decision making. Recognizes emergencies and takes appropriate action. </li><li>Identify, document and provide accurate and appropriate patient education. </li><li>Participate in evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice. Participate in professional development based on the nursing professional standards, regulatory requirements and job expectations. </li></ul> <p>Credentials and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least one year of relevant experience or ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 1 year of relevant experience </li><li>FL RN License </li><li>BLS Certification </li></ul> <p>An applicant for this position, who will be or is seeking Florida licensure by endorsement, must not have any National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) reports, unless the applicant has successfully appealed to have their name removed from the NPDB.
