This position collaborates with faculty, staff, and healthcare professionals to develop high-quality simulation experiences that support skill development, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary teamwork.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Develops, coordinates, and facilitates simulation-based learning experiences for students, faculty, and healthcare professionals daily. </li><li>Operates and maintains simulation technology, including high-fidelity mannequins, audiovisual equipment, and simulation trainers. </li><li>Collaborates with faculty, clinical educators, and team members from the Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies to integrate simulation into curricula and training programs. </li><li>Ensures a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes engagement and professional growth. </li><li>Maintains simulation lab inventory, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensures compliance with industry standards. </li><li>Stays current with advancements in simulation technology, educational methodologies, and best practices in clinical training. </li><li>Participates in faculty development, training, and research initiatives related to simulation-based education. </li><li>Assists in data collection and program evaluation to measure the effectiveness of simulation activities. </li><li>Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for all customers. </li><li>Tracks inventory levels and identifies and reports any shortages. </li><li>Completes work assignments independently and in a timely manner. </li><li>Performs occasionally heavy lifting and moving of equipment. </li><li>Supports all components of the Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies as required. </li><li>Represents the school's simulation offerings and experiences at various undergraduate and graduate admissions events. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Health or Computer related field. </li><li>Minimum 1-3 years of related experience, preferably in simulation-based learning, or healthcare training. </li><li>Ability to work flexible hours. </li><li>Strong communication, organizational, and teamworking skills. </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot and maintain simulation equipment and software. </li><li>Commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. </li><li>Experienced in utilizing internet resources, with advanced computer literacy and experience in Microsoft Office Suite applications. </li><li>Some admissions related work on weekends will be required as needed. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of computer and AV hardware/software preferred. </li><li>Possess basic medical knowledge. </li></ul> <p>Special Instructions Deadline Open Until Filled Date Posted 05/06/2025 EEO Statement</p> <p>Hofstra University is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to extending equal opportunity in employment to all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, national or ethnic origin, physical or mental disability, marital or veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.</p> <p>Salary/Salary Range $65,000 - $70,000</p> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Hofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education.
