<p>Position: Football Assistant Coach (SY 25-26) (Stipend)</p> <p>Reports to: Athletic Director</p> <p>Stipend Range: $5,159.00-$6,618.00; prorated based on start date</p> <p>Date Range: 8/15/2025-11/27/2025</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ol> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.</p> </li><li> <p>CPR Certified</p> </li></ol> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Coordinate and supervise the program and team.</p> </li><li> <p>Promote an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.</p> </li><li> <p>Design a training program and game program.</p> </li><li> <p>Organize and manage the coaching staff to ensure the program is implemented</p> </li></ol> <p>correctly.</p> <ol start="5"> <li> <p>Ensure that all athletic activities conform to MIAA guidelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community.</p> </li><li> <p>Work effectively with booster clubs and other community organizations.</p> </li><li> <p>React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Support the value of an education.</p> </li></ol> <p>Other Duties:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Requires prolonged sitting or standing.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally, it requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push</p> </li></ol> <p>heavy objects or materials.</p> <ol start="3"> <li> <p>Occasional stooping, bending, and reaching.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires some travel.</p> </li><li> <p>Must work in noisy and crowded environments.</p> </li></ol> <p>General Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Coordinate and supervise High School programs and teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Help students achieve gains in athletic skills and team performance.</p> </li><li> <p>Design a training program and game program.</p> </li><li> <p>Organize and supervise the coaching staff to ensure the program is implemented</p> </li></ol> <p>correctly.</p> <ol start="5"> <li> <p>Train assistant coaches in techniques, skills, philosophy, rules, and strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>Call meetings with coaching staff periodically and consistently throughout the sports</p> </li></ol> <p>season.</p> <ol start="7"> <li>Responsible for assisting the Activities Director with scheduling the </li></ol> <p>following: a. game schedules b. practice schedules c. transportation</p> <ol start="8"> <li>Develop team rules, communicate them to the players and their parents, and </li></ol> <p>equitably enforce them.</p> <ol start="9"> <li> <p>Ensure that student-athletes meet eligibility rules.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that physical evaluation and permission forms are correctly completed and</p> </li></ol> <p>filed in the Athletic Director's office.</p> <ol start="11"> <li>Ensure that student-athletes adhere to training rules, lettering policies, grade </li></ol> <p>requirements, and rules of behavior.</p> <ol start="12"> <li> <p>Ensure the continual supervision of student-athletes on the court in conditioning.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that health and safety precautions are observed during all activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Immediately report all major injuries incurred during practice sessions or</p> </li></ol> <p>competitions to the Athletic Director and Principal.</p> <ol start="15"> <li> <p>Ensure proper purchasing, inventory, and care of equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Submit a complete team roster to the Athletic Director ten days before the first</p> </li></ol> <p>contest.</p> <ol start="17"> <li>Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director, Principal, or other Administrative </li></ol> <p>Staff</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>Watertown Public Schools is committed to maintaining a work and learning environment free</p> <p>from discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, pregnancy, gender</p> <p>identity, sexual orientation, marital/civil union status, ancestry, place of birth, age,</p> <p>citizenship status, veteran status, political affiliation, genetic information, or disability, as</p> <p>defined and required by state and federal laws.
