<p>Adjunct Faculty - Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program</p> <p>The Hunt School of Nursing invites qualified applicants for adjunct faculty positions within the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. Courses are available in the Post-Masters DNP program option, Family Nurse Practitioner program option, and Psychiatric Mental Health program option. Course assignments may include core DNP courses, DNP project courses, and/or Family Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner practicum courses based on qualifications. Core DNP courses and DNP Project courses are offered online, with possible on-campus intensive requirements. Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner courses are offered online, but may require in-person or virtual site visits. Practicum sites are located in proximity to the student's home address.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Teach material from approved curriculum and up-to-date clinical practice guidelines </li><li>Advise students in matters related to academics, attendance, and professional behavior </li><li>Maintain and submit student grades and attendance per university policies </li><li>Maintain productive contact with students and offer support, as appropriate </li><li>Follow the guidelines, policies, and procedures as outlined in the Faculty Handbook </li><li>Collaborate with program faculty and leadership to ensure course quality </li><li>Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback </li><li>Participate in required adjunct faculty meetings and training sessions </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications for Post-Masters DNP Program Option and non-APRN related courses:</p> <ul> <li>Doctoral degree in nursing </li><li>Unencumbered RN license in North Carolina or a compact state </li><li>Minimum of two years of employment in direct client care as an RN </li><li>Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills </li><li>Flexible availability to students, including weekdays, evenings, and/or weekends </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner Program Options and APRN related courses:</p> <ul> <li>Doctoral degree in nursing. A master's degree may be considered for nurse practitioner practicum courses only. </li><li>Unencumbered RN license in North Carolina or a compact state </li><li>Minimum of two years of employment in direct client care as an RN </li><li>Unencumbered APRN license as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina </li><li>Minimum of two years of recent clinical practice as an advanced practice registered nurse </li></ul> <p>Review of applications will be ongoing based on needs each semester.
