<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Night Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Mercy Fitzgerald, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Public Safety Supervisor to join our Security team !</p> <p>Job Title: Public Safety Supervisor</p> <p>Employment Type: Full-Time</p> <p>Shift: Night Shift, 40 hours per week</p> <p>Location: Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital</p> <p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>The Public Safety Supervisor directly supervises and monitors the daily activities of both Armed and Unarmed Public Safety Officers.</p> <p>As a Public Safety Supervisor you Will:</p> <ul> <li>This position reports directly to the Public Safety Manager and assists the Director and Manager in the management of the Public Safety Department, as assigned. </li><li>This position works as a liaison between Public Safety Management and the line officers through the chain of command. </li><li>As an experienced member of the Public Safety Team, the Supervisor is responsible for the safety and well-being of all visitors, patients, and staff. </li><li>The Public Safety Supervisor is a leader among the Public Safety Team and is responsible for assisting with leadership functions to include shift scheduling, training, hiring, discipline, and mentoring. </li><li>Their role is to implement tactics within their shift to ensure that the departmental and organizational objectives are met. </li><li>The Supervisor is required to work in an armed capacity to perform the functions of a Public Safety Officer as necessary. </li><li>During times of staff shortage or exigent situations, overtime may be requested. </li><li>This may include participation in an on-call rotation. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Driver's License with Satisfactory Driving Record </li><li>Must obtain a Pennsylvania Act 235 (Lethal Weapons Training Act) within 12 months and maintain throughout duration of employment </li><li>Must obtain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) within 6 months and maintain throughout duration of employment </li><li>Must obtain International Healthcare Safety & Security (IAHSS) Supervisor Certification within 6 months and maintain throughout duration of employment </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights and Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive benefit packages, including medical, dental, vision, mental health, paid time off, 403B, education assistance and voluntary benefits (pet insurance, accident insurance, hospital indemnity and others) available from the first day of employment. </li><li>Work/Life balance with flexible schedules. </li><li>Free onsite parking. </li><li>Our mission and core values are what drive each member of Trinity Health to support each other, communicate openly and respectfully while embracing a culture that nurtures a healing, safe environment for all. </li></ul> <p>Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital is a 178-bed teaching hospital located in Darby, Pa., which offers advanced acute care services in Delaware County and Southwest Philadelphia.
