<p>What We Look For...</p> <p>We are seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Director of Catering to join the team at Hotel Shattuck Plaza, a historic luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of Downtown Berkeley.</p> <p>This is not a role for someone who simply wants to maintain an existing book of business. We are looking for a motivated hospitality sales professional who is excited to actively grow catering revenue, build strong community relationships, and create memorable guest experiences.</p> <p>Our ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, outgoing, organized, and passionate about hospitality. A well-suited candidate will thrive on networking, prospecting new business opportunities, and collaborating closely with operations teams to ensure flawless event execution from start to finish.</p> <p>At Radiate Hospitality, we value individuals who are authentic, humble, hardworking, and committed to creating meaningful experiences for both our guests and our teams.</p> <p>The Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Prospect and generate new catering and event business through outside sales efforts, networking, and community involvement </li><li>Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, universities, organizations, and social clients </li><li>Sell meeting space, catering services, and group event opportunities </li><li>Conduct site tours, client meetings, and networking events to drive revenue growth </li><li>Manage the full event sales cycle from prospecting through execution </li><li>Prepare proposals, contracts, banquet event orders, and related event documentation </li><li>Collaborate closely with Sales, Banquets, Culinary, and Operations teams to ensure exceptional guest experiences </li><li>Maximize revenue opportunities through strategic selling and upselling initiatives </li><li>Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the planning and execution process </li><li>Participate in community and industry events to represent the hotel and generate new business opportunities </li></ul> <p>The Model Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous hotel catering sales or hospitality sales experience strongly preferred </li><li>Delphi experience preferred </li><li>Strong sales, networking, and relationship-building skills </li><li>Excellent communication and organizational abilities </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Self-motivated, energetic, and results-driven </li><li>Passion for hospitality and guest service excellence </li><li>Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business levels require </li></ul> <p>If this sounds like a fit, we'd love to hear from you!</p> <p>Radiate Hospitality is an Equal Opportunity Employer - we welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities.</p>
